Wallingford Art Walk

Wallingford is a lively town with many diverse restaurants, one of the best parks in Seattle, one of the greatest elementary schools in the nation, and historical architecture of many homes and community buildings. Gasworks Park anchors the South side of Wallingford and was created around a former gas plant. The park is full of public art pieces including a sundial on top of the hill that overlooks the Lake Union and has one of the most amazing views of the city and Lake Union. It is also home to one of the greatest places to watch the 4th of July fireworks on Lake Union.

Many types of great restaurants and bars can be found along 45thSt and Stone Avenue. Anything from Thai to Italian is available within just a few blocks of the Wallingford Center, which was converted from an old school house into shops and restaurants.

The neighborhood has quick access to downtown by either I-5 or downtown is bordered by Lake Union and is also a short distance to both Green Lake and the Zoo. This close-knit community has people from all walks of life and, something for everybody. The bungalow style home favors the community which also contains grand four-square homes with craftsman touches and most recently a good portion of townhomes.
