Due to the proximity to downtown, remarkable architecture, and many stunning views; Queen Anne Hill is one of the most desirable locations in Seattle. Perched high above the city and Puget Sound, Queen Anne is home to many beautiful homes along tree-lined streets with spectacular views. The main avenue offers many high end grocery stores, restaurants, coffee shops, wine bars and more. Queen Anne Avenue is usually bustling whether it is in the day, night, sun, or rain. It is a great place to spend an evening in one of the great and classic restaurants, enjoying the day people watching and catching up with neighbors and friends or playing around in one of the many beautiful parks.

With a
few steep slopes comes amazing views of downtown, Puget Sound, and Lake
Union. People have been building homes to take advantage of these views
since the mid 1800's. The view of downtown from Kinnear Park is one of
the most popular and photographed of the city.
Getting its
named from the common architecture style, Queen Anne is home to some of
the most beautifully designed homes of Queen Anne, Craftsman, and Four
Square architecture. One of the most gorgeous buildings in Seattle also
calls the hill home. Queen Anne High School, a Beaux Arts-style
building, stands atop the hill overlooking the city. Now converted into
condominiums, the school offers the opportunity to own and live in a
piece of history.
Lower Queen Anne has been home to the Sonics,
a World's Fair and many great concerts, and still is home to the Space
Needle, the Storm (WNBA) and Thunderbirds (WHL) in Key Arena and the
Seattle Center. As traffic into downtown worsened during the 90's, the
close proximity made Queen Anne an even more desirable place to call
home. Since traffic hasn't only gotten worse Queen, and there are only
so many views in the city, Queen Anne should be one of the most
desirable places to in Seattle for many, many more years. |
